The United Naga Council strongly urges the Union Ministry of Home Affairs and the Delhi Administration to leave no stones unturned to book those responsible for the death of late Wilungbou Chawang of Oklong village, Senapati District whose dead body was found in South Delhi Chirag Dilli area on the intervening night of 5 and 6 July, 2014. Murder, Violence, rape, humiliation and discrimination upon our people staying in Delhi for study or employment has been taking place unabated in spite of the assurances of the concerned authorities to prevent such occurrences. This must be stopped and the authorities must ensure the security and safety of the people irrespective of their looks or their place of origin.
Through this statement we are reaching out to the bereft family members of late Wilungbou with our heartfelt condolence and pray that the Almighty may grant them the strength to bear the great loss. May Wilungbou’s soul rest in peace.
